Kaylie Cruz and Natasha Leyva, two standout seniors at Saint Saviour High School, have been named Semifinalists for the prestigious Coca-Cola Scholars Program, marking a significant achievement in their academic careers. Selected from a pool of more than 105,000 applicants, they are among the 1,336 students chosen nationwide – representing the top 1.27% of applicants.

Both Cruz and Leyva have been recognized for their exceptional leadership, academic accomplishments, and their dedication to making a positive impact in their community. As Semifinalists, they now advance in the competitive selection process, vying for one of 150 $20,000 college scholarships awarded through the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
“This is a huge honor for Kaylie and Natasha, and we are beyond proud of them,” said Mrs. Timpone, Principal of Saint Saviour High School. “Their leadership both in and out of the classroom truly embodies the values of our school, and this recognition is well deserved.”
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the largest corporate-sponsored, merit-based scholarship program in the United States. Since its founding, more than 7,000 students have been awarded over $87 million in scholarships for their academic excellence, leadership, and service.
Cruz and Leyva will now complete Phase 2 of the application process, which includes essays, recommendations, and academic transcripts. From these submissions, 250 Regional Finalists will be selected in January to take part in online interviews. The final 150 Coca-Cola Scholars will be announced in late February. Scholars will attend the Coca-Cola Scholars Banquet and Leadership Development Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, in April 2025.
In addition to the financial award, Coca-Cola Scholars join a vibrant community of more than 6,000 alumni who continue to make significant contributions to society.
